Terms and Conditions
Who we are
These Terms & Conditions are between you and Unconventional Cosplay Ltd ("we", "us", "UC"), a company registered in England & Wales, company number 16649423, registered office 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
Acceptance
By using this site, or by submitting any form or masquerade entry, you accept these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or submit anything through it. Where a form or entry asks you to tick that you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy, you must do so to submit.
Using the site and our forms
- Use the site lawfully and reasonably. Do not attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its data.
- When you submit information through a form, you confirm it is accurate and that you are entitled to provide it.
- Do not submit unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or otherwise harmful content, and do not impersonate anyone else.
- We may remove content or refuse or withdraw a submission that breaches these terms.
Masquerade entries
- Eligibility & age. Masquerade entries are open subject to the rules of each competition. Entrants are recorded by age band (Under 12 / Under 16 / 16–18 / 18+). Where an entrant is under 16, a parent or guardian must give consent through the guardianship step in the entry flow; group entries are subject to our age and safeguarding rules.
- No guaranteed place. Submitting an entry does not guarantee a place. Places, formats, categories, and scheduling are at the organiser's discretion, and entries may be subject to capacity, eligibility, and the competition rules in force.
- Conduct. Entrants must follow the event's code of conduct and any instructions from organisers and stewards.
Your content and media
- You keep ownership of the content and media you upload (for example reference photos, audio, or video).
- By uploading, you grant UC a non-exclusive licence to store and display that content as needed to receive, review, run, and promote the relevant event or competition.
- You confirm you have the right to upload the content and that doing so does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- You can ask us to take down content you uploaded by contacting us; we will action reasonable takedown requests.
Liability and disclaimers
- The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free.
- To the extent permitted by law, we limit our liability to you for loss arising from your use of the site to what is reasonable and foreseeable.
- Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Changes and versioning
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms are versioned: the current version and effective date appear at the top of this page, and the version in force when you submit is recorded against your submission.
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.
